Pen & Paper is an international collaboration between Karun (Nairobi) and producer Hook (Switzerland) written in both English and Kiswahili, co-produced and co-written by Kenyan eclectic DJ/Producer/musician Basthma.
The song was written to ring true to anyone whether you’re deep in love, or if you’re in a slightly toxic situation. “Ukinikaribia najiachilia” (when you’re close to me I lose myself)
Pen and Paper” is a mid-tempo, R&B/Afro- Fusion love song written about an addictive love, like the taste of salted Caramel, or like a head rush high; it’s good, but you’re not sure if it’s good for you.
